Hosting issues

The Math Less Traveled was down for a while yesterday — you may have received strange error messages in your newsreader if you’re subscribed via RSS, but don’t worry, all is back to normal now. The site that hosts TMLT was having DNS issues, but since it’s run by volunteers and I don’t have to pay anything to have TMLT hosted there, I certainly can’t complain! Look for more math coming your way soon.

    OT, Brent: Remember at Deal when they calculated the cost of all the gifts in “The Twelve Days of Christmas”? Today’s news includes a report that the cost has gone up this year, but their grand total is about $78K. Wasn’t the Deal total more than $300K? I imagine that the bulk of the difference depends on the length of time for which you hire the maids, ladies, lords, pipers, and drummers.
